The Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) has allocated funding towards prizes and recognition for High Point awards in 12 new classes of the  International Mountain Trail Challenge Association events held at  Creek Side Horse Park in Waynesburg, Ohio in 2018. OQHA will be opening these awards to ANY BREED of horse that earns the most IMTCA/OQHA points and finishes in the top three for each class. The classes will include youth and adult riders who compete ‘In Hand’ and ‘In the Saddle’. The rider must be a member of OQHA at the time of showing to accumulate points but does not have to own or ride a registered Quarter Horse. The American Quarter Horse Association, January 31, 20178 AQHA walk-trot classes at the AQHA Level 1 Championships will offer newcomers a chance to compete at one of three championship shows. AQHA walk-trot classes are making their debut at the 2018 AQHA  West , AQHA  Central  and  Nutrena East  Level 1 Championships this spring.  Walk-trot classes are the perfect way for eligible exhibitors to get in the arena and gain experience, which goes hand-in-hand with the purpose of the Level 1 Championships.  Also new this year, there are no qualifying requirements to show at the  AQHA Level 1 Championships . Beginning with the 2018 events, all Level 1- and Rookie-eligible exhibitors are welcome to compete at one
