Name: Emma Gore

Age: 10

Where do you live and with who?
I live in Croton Ohio with my parents Jeff and Tera Gore on our family farm, Irongate Equestrian Center.

How did you get involved in horses?
I started showing ponies at the Fredericktown fun show when I was 3 years old. I showed in my first AQHA show when I was four

What discipline(s)/class(es) do you show in and why did you choose that discipline or class(es)?
I show in the all around events. Horsemanship is my favorite . I love all the events and enjoy learning different patterns.

What would be impossible for you to give up? (something that's not horse related)
Besides showing horses, I really enjoy raising and showing cattle. I help my dad with the day to day operations of our club calve business and family farm.

Tell us something that no one knows about you.
Things you might not know about me is that I have an older brother.  I am also homeschooled and have 9 dogs and 80 cows.

Where can we find you when you aren't at a horse show?
When I am not at a horse show you can find me in a creek, riding my ponies or working with the cows on the farm.

What do you see your future self doing?
When I grow up I want to be a vet. I enjoy helping my dad deliver the baby cows and helping animals.

If you could ride any horse, who would it be and why?
If I could show any horse it would be Emma Brown’s horse Some Hot Potential. I have had the privilege to ride him but it would be really awesome to show him!! He is really good at the trail and horsemanship.

What is a goal that you want to accomplish during your time showing horses?
My biggest dream would be to win a class or two at the Youth Word Show.

Who is your hero/role model?
I really look up to my parents and Grandma they all work really hard to support my dream that allows me to show horses. My role models are Emma Brown and Olivia Tordoff. I admire how hard they work and there dedication to be the best. Emma Brown helps me at the shows when my mom can not be there with my hair and makeup.

What is the biggest dream you have accomplished showing horses?
I have been lucky to accomplish some big dreams so far while showing horses. I was the 2016 and 2017 All American Quarter Horse Congress and 2017 NSBA High Point All Around Champion. I would also like to thank Judd and Jennifer Paul that always push me to be the best that I can be.
