Bethany Reiterman

Name: Bethany Reiterman

Age: 17

Where do you live and with who:

I live in Washington Court House, Ohio with my parents, Mike and Nicol Reiterman.

Other current activities: I am very involved in my school’s FFA chapter, Fayette County 4-H, and many other state wide agriculture related leadership boards. I have also played varsity tennis for four years and I am my school’s senior class president.

What would be impossible for you to give up?

One thing I would struggle giving up is my morning coffee. I cannot survive or think clearly throughout the day without my coffee. It is a bad habit to have at 17 but I am hooked on my coffee.

Tell us something that no one knows about you.

I am pretty much scared of anything and everything like I am extremely afraid of butterflies and car washes. However, I LOVE scary movies and I have seen like almost all of them. It’s kind of weird but hey, everyone has their quirks.

Where can we find you when you aren’t at a horse show?

If the weather permits, I can be found on the tennis courts playing tennis with my friends. However, if the weather is bad, you can find me sitting on my couch binge watching my favorite Netflix shows.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Ideally, I see myself obtaining my Agriculture Education degree and teaching high school students.

How did you get involved in horses?

My family has had horses for generations, however, my mother was the first in our family to start showing. After that, she passed on her passion for horses to her three daughters and I have shown ever since.

If you could ride any horse, who would it be and why?

If I had the chance, I would love to ride Harley D Zip because he is a legend in the AQHA world. Not only is he beautiful, he holds more than 12 world champion champions. He is such a once in a lifetime horse.

What is a goal that you want to accomplish during your youth career?

My goal is to qualify and show at the AQHYA World Show.
