Trading Boots for Golf Shoes at the Congress Cup
A beautiful day and gorgeous weather set the stage for participants to trade their boots for golf shoes and Battle for the Buckle at the 6th annual Congress Cup charity golf outing.
Organized by the Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation and hosted at Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club, the event delivered a first-class experience while raising funds to support the Foundation's annual scholarship program. The Congress Cup is made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Martz Family.
With its stunning scenery and outstanding amenities, the private Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club provided the perfect setting for a memorable day on the course. The Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation was also honored to welcome Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Brian Baldridge as a special guest.
Thank you to the following major sponsors for helping make this event possible:
- The Martz Family - Event Sponsor
- Sweet Shop - Breakfast Sponsor
- Metropolis - Golf Ball Sponsor
- Pinnacle Quarter Horses - Golf Cart Sponsor
- Laz Parking - Refreshment Sponsor
- OKI, Inc. - Gift Sponsor

The team consisting of Randy Wilson, Chase Wilson, Wayne Davis, and Tim McHugh took home this year's prize: four custom Congress Cup Champion belt buckles from Montana Silversmiths!
New contests for this year included a Plinko game, which gave golfers the chance to win tickets into the 50/50 draw.
The Congress Cup also featured a Ride & Drive competition, where golfers competed for the longest drive hit while sitting in a saddle! That title was won by Austin Garcia.
The Congress Cup's overarching goal of supporting the Ohio Quarter Horse Youth members is what drives organizers, sponsors, and players alike.
OQHA and its Foundation would like to thank all of the players and sponsors for their efforts in making this year's Congress Cup a success!
