Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association

What a year so far! The SOQHA kicked off the 2021 show season with the SOQHA Challenge, held February 26-28 in Springfield, Ohio. This three-day show provided top-tier AQHA competition and awarded $10,000 in scholarship money to the youth. We finished the show with more than 2,800 entries! All the typical classes were hosted, with a few fun
classes that consisted of the Youth/Trainer Boot Scramble, Youth Egg and Spoon Race, and Youth Three-Legged Race. The fun classes were limited to only those entered in the SOQHA Scholarship Challenge. Thank you to our exhibitors, judges, volunteers, and An Equine Production for a great show!

SOQHA is looking forward to seeing everyone at The Madness, set for May 7-16 at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio. Stalls and camping were sold out within hours of opening up, and we anticipate this year’s show being the biggest to date for SOQHA! There are many prizes to be given throughout the show, so don’t forget to stop at the SOQHA booth! Exhibitor Party will be held Sunday, May 9, at the Paddock Club; food, games, DJ, and plenty of fun, be sure to go! The Equine Chronicle 3 & Over Maiden Horse Slot Class is a show favorite held Saturday, May 15. Remember to find a seat and see who will walk away a champion among some of the best horse trainers! The annual Dad’s Western
Pleasure will occur following the Equine Chronicle class completion, and all proceeds go to the SOQHA Youth Team. Do not forget April 1 deadline to reduce the number of stalls you have if needed; we have a waiting list! All slot class entries will be due at the show. You can find information regarding The Madness at soqha.com or on our Facebook page.

Don’t forget about the SOQHA Summer Finale, scheduled for August 21-22 at the WEC in Wilmington, Ohio. It is always a fun, relaxing show with great numbers and a good time! Keep a lookout for dates on stalls and camping! SOQHA would like to continue to wish everyone good luck during the 2021 show season, and we look forward to seeing you all!

OMIQHA Spring Warmup Show Recap

The first OMIQHA show is in the books. It was an amazing sold out show with 1349 entries per judge.
