2016 Awards Banquet In the Books

The 2016 Ohio Quarter Horse Awards Banquet held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza North was a bigger than ever!  The banquet room was packed with 420 in attendance and large awards presented to the 2016 OQHA award winners. OAQHA Vice President and co-host for the night, Fred Borer, kicked off the night by inviting the 2016 OQHA Queen, Molli Jacobs, to lead the attendees in an invocation before dinner. The 2016 OQHA President, Hank Clason followed the three course meal by reflecting on his year in office and presenting the OQHA staff with the President’s Award, including Lisa Martin, Rhonda Harter, Mindy Westlake, Barb Benedum, Danielle Stephenson, and Dr. Scott Myers. By The Equine Chronicle The C Bar C Winner Circuit recently took place January 26-29 in Cloverdale, Indiana, and according to Mark Harrell Horse Show Management, entries topped out at 6,000 across all divisions. 2017 AQHYA World Show Schedule Is Online

The American Quarter Horse Association, January 4 , 2017 The tentative schedule for the  2017 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show  is now available online. The event, slated for August 4-12 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, features the world’s top youth riders and their American Quarter Horses. To view the  tentative schedule  of events, visit  www.aqha.com/youthworld . New in 2017, Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan) Level 2 Championship classes will be offered at the Ford Youth World, giving exhibitors the chance to win Adequan® Level 2 championship titles. Adequan® Level 2 classes will be offered in a one-go-round format. Awards for Adequan® Level 2 will be awarded after each preliminary.
