The American Quarter Horse Association, January 31, 20178 AQHA walk-trot classes at the AQHA Level 1 Championships will offer newcomers a chance to compete at one of three championship shows. AQHA walk-trot classes are making their debut at the 2018 AQHA  West , AQHA  Central  and  Nutrena East  Level 1 Championships this spring.  Walk-trot classes are the perfect way for eligible exhibitors to get in the arena and gain experience, which goes hand-in-hand with the purpose of the Level 1 Championships.  Also new this year, there are no qualifying requirements to show at the  AQHA Level 1 Championships . All American Quarter Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Youth Association members are invited to attend the AQHA convention each year as a way to stay involved with the horse industry, have an impact on decisions, voice opinions and learn new things.  While more than 1,000 members converge on  AQHA convention  each year, AQHA leadership would love to see an even larger number of members take part in this important event. The Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar (YES) is held in Amarillo, Texas, July 11-13. Ohio will be sending 10 youth: Brooke Bradley, Ellexxah Maxwell, Caleb Sturgeon, Olivia Tordoff, Emily Ambrose, Emma Brown, Riley Jacobs Bell, Natalie Hilty, Millie Landon, and Alexia Tordoff. The summer highlight for many OQHYA youth is the AQHA Ford World Show, held August 4-12 in Oklahoma City. New for 2017, AQHA has added Adequan Level 2 classes. Ohio will be very well represented this year as our numbers of nationally and state qualified youth are up! We are sending 67 youth, 79 horses for 237 entries. The American Quarter Horse Youth Association, May 22, 2017  The American Quarter Horse Association is proud to announce new and exciting events for the  2017 Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar  July 11-13 in Amarillo. The deadline to register is June 1. A Mix ‘n’ Mingle event has been added to the schedule, allowing participants to meet other youth from around the world. The event is set for Tuesday afternoon, July 11, at the Holiday Inn and is hosted by the 2016-17 AQHYA officer and director team.
