The association’s Quarter Horse Breeders Incentive Fund (OQHBIF) program replaces the former OQHA Futurity show.

OQHA provides OQHBIF money to participating members. There is no entry fee, however members must submit an entry form AND a copy of their registration papers to the OQHA office by August 15. Please note that entries WILL NOT be accepted at any of the three regional futurities through OQHA.

• To be eligible, horses must be the product of an Ohio-owned stallion or an Ohio-owned mare.
• Registration papers AND entry form are required to be submitted to the OQHA office only in the year the horse will be exhibited. (Horses are not required to be nominated as weanlings and sustained over multiple years.)
• OQHBIF money will be determined by results from the Eastern Ohio, Northern Ohio and Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Futurities. Participating horses will receive points based on the results of each futurity. The total number of points earned in the program will then be divided by the purse to determine a per point value.
  
• Participants in the OQHBIF must enter the EOQHA, NOQHA and/or SOQHA futurities classes to participate. All three shows have revised their show bills to include all classes in the program. OQHBIF participants are not required to participate in all three futurities, but can earn points at one, two or all three shows toward their OQHBIF earnings.
• Name changes and ownership changes need to be brought to the attention of the OQHBIF Secretary when they occur.
• The age break for Weanlings is as follows: All weanlings born 2/28/10 and earlier are considered senior and all weanlings born 3/1/10 and later are considered junior. 

ENTRY FORM
Registration papers AND entry forms for horses to be enrolled in the OQHBIF program should be submitted to OQHA no later than August 15 of the current year.
