Secretary’s report
President Luanne Coleman called the meeting to order at 11:40 am and welcomed all. Those present included: Cris Martin, Lisa Perry, Laura Salome, Suzanne Guinsler, Kristin Martin, Justin Billings, Lois Berry, Nancy Waid, Jennifer Robinson, Carol Sigman, Abby Pound and Marla Atherton. Excused were Patrick Murty and Katie Stolte.
No Secretary’s report was given.
Abby Pound presented the Treasurer’s report. After review, Lisa Perry motioned to accept the report as presented and Lois Berry second. Motion passed.
Pancake breakfast: Laura Salome is to check with Denny Hales to get confirmation that we can again hold the Pancake breakfast at the Congress.
Horse Show: Laura Salome reported that Tammy Cullins has hired Brendan Brown and Gretchen Mathes to judge our show. Lisa Perry confirmed hotel rooms for our show, which we will need to switch to our credit card. Laura Salome is to check with Donnie and Leah Recchiuti in regards to ring stewarding our show.
Horse Show Awards: Abby Pound stated that we will be presenting checks this evening at the Banquet for the year end high point Amateur, Novice Amateur and Select Amateur.
Trainer Auction: We are looking for new ideas as we feel that this can be a profitable item for us. Laura Salome is to check with Denny Hales to see if the Tri-Chairmen will allow us to offer a choice of barns at the Congress to one lucky trainer as a benefit to our auction.
Community Service: No report
Christmas Party: Discussion was held as to if we will have one in 2009. Kristin Martin offered a suggestion that we donate a portion of what we would spend on the Party, either to a needy family or a food bank. No motions were made, but everyone felt this was a good idea.
Scholarships: No report
Election results were read:

2ndVP: Marla Atherton
Secretary: Katie Stolte
Treasurer: Abby Pound
Reporter: Cris Martin
A motion was made by Cris Martin to appoint Carol Sigman to a vacant 3 year term, second by Laura Salome. Motion passed. Additional director slots are available for a one year term. Those nominated are: Chris Martin, Nancy Waid, Meredith Cherubini, Kaitlin ?. A motion was made by Cris Martin second by Carol Sigman to postpone voting until the March meeting. Motion passed. Executive Committee members for 2009 are: Laura Salome, Patrick Murty, Lisa Perry, Lois Berry and Marla Atherton.
Committee sign ups will be held at the March meeting.
A motion was made by Lois Berry and second by Abby Pound to donate $200 to the SOQHA Team Tournament. Motion passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:25 pm.
