OQHA offers an extensive year-end awards program for AQHA Open, Amateur, Select Amateur, Novice Amateur, Youth and Novice Youth classes held at Quarter Horse shows throughout Ohio between April 1 and September 30 of each year. More than $65,000 in year-end awards are presented each year to OQHA members.
OQHA has set its Year-End Awards Banquet and Annual Meeting date for the first Saturday of February each year at the Doubletree Hotel (formerly the Holiday Inn Worthington North), 175 Hutchinson Avenue, (located at the intersection of 270 and US 23 North), in Columbus.
OQHA, OAQHA, OQHYA to hold annual meetings
The day will begin 12:00 noon, with the OAQHA annual meeting. OAQHA will announce its election results and appoint ex-officio directors, as well as begin assigning committees and planning activities for the year.
Following the OAQHA meeting, the OQHA and OQHYA annual meetings will take place, with both meetings to begin at 1:30 p.m. OQHA will announce its election results and hold its organizational meeting. OQHYA will also announce its election results and begin plans for the year. (Special note to OQHYA youth, the annual meeting will count toward the two required meetings that Youth World Show and Congress NYATT team members will be required to attend.)
Cocktail hour, doors to open
Details for a cocktail hour at 3:30 p.m. are being worked out, but the doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for dinner. Following dinner, a live auction will be held, followed by the awards presentation and music provided by a disc jockey.
Tables can be reserved
Again this year, groups of attendees may reserve whole tables holding ten people each. One person should submit the reservation and list all people who will be sitting with the group. 
Payment for the banquet tickets should be submitted with the reservation. Banquet reservations must be received no later than January 25 to ensure a seat at the banquet. Hotel rooms at group rate
Banquet attendees can obtain hotel rooms at the Doubletree Hotel. Call 1-800-870-0349 for hotel reservations, or use the reservation form that appears in the issue of the OQHA News. All Hotel Reservations must be made by January 11 to receive the reduced rates!
