The Ohio Quarter Horse Association hosted another successful annual picnic at the Ohio Expo Center Monday evening  where members of all ages mingled underneath the Natural Resources Pavilion for dinner.

Thunderstorms and hail did not keep the crowd from enjoying a fish fry prepared by Skip and Todd Salome as OQHYA advisors Valerie Fites and Tammy Gagliardo helped 67 Ohio youth  members register for the AQHYA World Championship Show.

During the meal, Cathy Martz announced on behalf of the Ohio Quarter Horse Foundation that RJ Jacobs, Jillian Channell and Morgan Kessler will each receive $1,000 scholarships and 14 renewal scholarships had also been approved.

Following the picnic, the amateurs, youth and board members split into their respective monthly meetings.
