OMIQHA Summer Sunsation
By Samantha Armbruster
The OMIQHA shows have something to offer for everyone. From weekend warriors hauling for national titles to those simply looking to expand into the realm of the Quarter Horse circuit, OMI is a great place for all. Over the past weekend June 24-25, three judges provided three sets of points as the show was approved for a total of five associations. Some of the show’s highlights included a pizza party, morning breakfasts, silent auction, random prizes and a Saturday night taco fiesta. Another huge draw to the event was the $2,000 payout for pleasure driving classes thanks to the show’s generous sponsors.
With all of these fun activities included in the show itself, it is obvious that the OMIQHA board and volunteers spent a lot of time planning and preparing for this large event. President Jason Henry goes out of his way to accommodate exhibitors and make the horse show experience as fun and worthwhile as possible for all. Living in the days where customer service can either make or break an organization, OMIQHA capitalizes on this trait by ensuring that all attendees are well catered to.
The show could not be as great of a success without the special efforts of Carol Nelson, Dan Klaus, Tom Hall, Jason Henry, Madison Hallas, Ken Siemer, Buckwheat and the show office secretaries. Be sure to keep this fun event in mind for the 2018 show season when you are planning your show schedule for the following year!
