Ohio exhibitors place in All American Youth Horse Show
By Samantha Armbruster
The All American Youth Horse Show just held it’s 49th annual show at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH from May 11th through May 14th. The Ohio Quarter Horse Association was well represented as not only a large contributing sponsor for the show, but also in the number of Ohio youth members that took part in exhibiting as well.
Some of the Ohio youth exhibitors that made it to the Championship classes included: Kylie Davis, Sydney Krebs, Baylee Anderson, Mindy Barr and Megan Baily. In order to qualify for the Championship classes, the exhibitor must place either 1st or 2nd in their designated age group classes. Most class sizes had anywhere from 15-35 exhibitors in each age division.
The Youth Show is a long standing traditional open show that attracts youth exhibitors from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and other neighboring states. Riders from ages 18 and under are eligible to compete in a variety of classes with many different disciplines included. Scholarships are another big draw to this show because anyone may apply.
The show would not be made possible without the many volunteers, directors and sponsors that all provide their time and money to make everything possible. Overall, this large open show focuses on the involvement of youth showmen and rewarding sportsmanship and hard work. More information about the show can be found on their Facebook page, or on their website, www.aayhshow.com.
