OAQHA Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
The Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association (OAQHA) flipped pancakes for a cause Saturday morning.
The group raised $1000 during its annual All American Quarter Horse Congress Pancake Fundraiser in the Voinovich Building.
More than 430 people participated in the fundraiser by dining in, carrying out or having breakfast delivered by OAQHA members preparing the all you can eat breakfast. Ohio Quarter Horse Association Executive Director Dr. Scott Myers, President Chris Darnell and Tri-Chairman Elizabeth Gorski all made guest appearances throughout the morning. OAQHA President Justin Billings flipped pancakes for guests and cleared tables while answering questions about showing AQHA.
From the money raised, $500 will be given to St. Jude Hospital while the additional $500 will go to Toys for Tots.
Elizabeth Hayes has been announced as the winner of the contest for the 2018 Buckeye Classic stall give away conducted during the Pancake Breakfast.
