EOQHA held their annual year end awards banquet on January 12th at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. Due to the weather we had a smaller event than we have had in past years but would like to thank everyone who was able to attend for making it a great evening.

In 2019 EOQHA will be hosting 3 shows again. April 6 & 7 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, April 27 & 28 at the Champions Center in Springfield, and September 6-8 back at the Ohio Expo Center. Due to limited number of stalls available in Springfield we do ask that you get those stalls reserved ASAP, the stall form can be found on the EOQHA website.

Also, this year the EOQHA youth will be participating in the Tribute Feed program and will be collecting the proof of purchase tags from your Tribute feed products. New this year, Nutrena has a youth program that the EOQHA youth members will be participating in as well. If you feed Nutrena products to any animals please save the feed tag off the bags and bring them with you to any EOQHA event.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our events last year and we are looking forward to a great 2019 show season.

NOQHA stepped outside the box for their 2018 year-end awards banquet and held it in conjunction with OQHA’s banquet in Columbus. A Mardi Gras themed hospitality suite welcomed members and guests with a place to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a cookie, or just a place to sit and chat while picking up year-end awards. We look forward to continuing our partnership with OQHA and SOQHA. Congratulations to all year-end awards winners! A special congratulations to Shannon Call, 2018 President’s Award Winner.

Jessica Crozier was crowned the NOQHA 2019 Queen. She is 20 years old, attends Cuyahoga County Community College and lives in Valley City, Ohio. Good Luck to her on her journey.

NOQHA and NOQHYA will be holding most of their meetings via conference calls on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm for adult meetings and 6:30pm for youth meetings. (no meetings in July, August, October) The youth meeting conference calls will count as a required meeting for NYATT, contact Rhonda Pickersgill, youth advisor, for number and code.

The youth are busy planning for 2019, they held their annual Silent Auction at the NOQHA hospitality suite and it was the largest one yet. Thank you to all that donated gifts and baskets! Don’t forget to get your NYATT intent letters, sponsorships and membership in by the deadline. Download the meeting schedule and NYATT information at www.noqha.com.

Congratulation to Maclayne Warner, Youth Sportsmanship Winner.
