Amateurs Help Priest Family
The Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association has always placed an emphasis on community service and has pledged to help the Priest family of Van Wert, after losing their home and belongings to a fire on March 29th. OAQHA has planned two events to assist the family:
Clothing Drive at April Board Meeting
OAQHA will host a clothing and supply drive for the Priest family during their April Board Meeting, scheduled for Monday, April 16th at the Holiday Inn - Worthington. Clothing sizes are as follows:
- Kara Priest (mother) wears size 5/6 pants and adult medium shirts
- Erika Priest (18 year old daughter) wears size 6/7 pants and adult small shirts. Erika shows in Hunter Under Saddle events.
- Tyler Priest (16 year old son) wears size 34/34 pants, large shorts and x-large shirts. Tyler is sports oriented and enjoys video games, and is very close with his dog, an Australian Shepard.
- Reagan and Cassie (11 and 12 year old daughters) both wear size 14 slim girls pants or size 0 slim ladies pants and large youth or x-small adult shirts. Both girls are involved in showing Barrel Racing.
In addition to the clothing drive, OAQHA will host a 50/50 raffle at their annual horse show, The Buckeye Classic, held May 11-13 at Eden Park in Sunbury to benefit the Priest family.
