Two new NRHA classes were added: 6660 NRHA Prime-Time Non-Pro Reining, which will be held on Wednesday, October 10th and 6665 NRHA Prime-Time Open Reining, held Thursday, October 11th. These classes will run concurrently with existing NRHA Non-Pro Reining and NRHA Open Reining, respectively.
Three Reining classes were also moved: Both sections of NRHA Youth Reining were moved from Friday, October 12th to Tuesday, October 9th. Class 2340 AQHA Amateur Reining was moved from Tuesday, October 9th to Friday, October 12th.
Finally, the Congress Tri-Chairmen discussed the potential to add Cowboy Mounted Shooting to the 2012 Congress schedule. While the classes have not yet been officially added, and many details remain to be worked out, Congress officials are excited about the possibility.
“Cowboy Mounted Shooting has gained so much popularity in the last few years and we are excited about the possibility of showcasing this event at the All American Quarter Horse Congress,” said Scott Myers, OQHA President. “We are still in the process of working out details, and we will have more information in the near future.”
Details regarding the possible Cowboy Mounted Shooting classes at Congress will be forthcoming.
