OQHA has compiled a list of horse boarding, horse training and horseback riding lesson facilities across Ohio. These facility listings are provided as a free service by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. Information listed here was provided by the proprietors and was not checked for accuracy. A printed directory of the facilities is published each Spring by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. Full board, partial board, group turn-out, individual turn-out; medical layups; foaling services; breaking and training of outside horses using natural training principles, reschooling, problem horses – all breeds; lessons offered in hunter, basic dressage, balanced principle, centered riding, most breeds; lessons offered in saddle seat; lessons offered in Quarter Horse, Appaloosa, Paint and related events – lessons offered on stable-owned or rider’s own horse. Also offering Horsemastership lessons. These are non-riding lessons, learning to work around and care for horses including grooming, mucking, hoof picking, basic first aid, feeding. $15/hour.
Primary breeds/events: Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, draft crosses
Boarding fees: $250/month full care, other by private treaty
Lesson fees: $25/hour private; $20/hour group
Training fees: $300 & up
Maximum number of horses: 9
