The unique nature
of the All American Quarter Horse Congress allow the show to provide
great visuals and interesting story ideas for news media. As a result,
the officers and directors of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and
officials of the All American Quarter Horse Congress welcome news
media inquiries.
Due to the busy
schedules of our officials and staff, we ask for advance preparation
to schedule media interviews. With three and
sometimes four show arenas in operation on
the 360-acre Ohio Expo Center grounds, it is sometimes difficult
to quickly find a Congress official for media interviews without an
appointment.
We
ask that members of the news media please respect our horse show exhibitors
as they prepare to compete during the Congress. Approaching an exhibitor
who is preparing to show would be similar to approaching a news reporter
about to go on the air, taking away the focus needed to give their
best performance. We also ask that bright lights or flashes be kept
away from the arena area so as not to interfere with the performance.
