AQHA, NSBA Class Fees, Premiums, Conditions

All Congress classes will present the C. R. Morrison Congress champion trophy and medallions through tenth place for AQHA, NSBA and Stakes events, and through 15 places for Congress futurities. NSBA trophies will be presented in NSBA events. Congress corporate sponsors may provide additional prizes for various placings and various events.

AQHA Open and Amateur Halter, Performance Halter Classes
Entry Fee $100 – Purse $1,350 paid six places divided $400, $350, $250, $150. $100, $100. (For limited open and limited amateur halter class information and ineligible lists, please see Stakes/Special Event Premium information.)

AQHA Open Performance Classes
Entry Fee $60 – Purse $1,500 paid eight places divided $400, $350, $250, $150, $100, $100, $80, $70. In individual work classes (Reining, Western Riding, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Jumping, Working Hunter, Trail, Tie-Down Roping, Dally Team Roping - Heading, Dally Team Roping- Heeling and Cutting) exhibitors may show up to four horses, two junior (5 years and under) and two senior (6 years and older), or a total of three horses in an all-age class as long as two are one age division and one is the other age division, as per AQHA rules.

AQHA Amateur, Novice Amateur, Select 50 & Over Performance Classes
Entry Fee $60 – Purse $1,000 paid eight places divided $200, $180, $160, $140, $120, $100, $60, $40. In all amateur and novice amateur individual working performance events (Reining, Western Riding, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Jumping, Working Hunter, Trail, Tie-Down Roping, Dally Team Roping - Heading, Dally Team Roping- Heeling and Cutting), a novice amateur or amateur may show up to two horses, regardless of sex, as per AQHA rules.

AQHA Youth & Novice Youth Halter, Performance Halter and Performance Classes

Entry Fee $30 – Purse $500 paid eight places divided $100, $90, $80, $70, $60, $45, $30, $25. In all youth or novice youth individual working performance events (Reining, Western Riding, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Jumping, Working Hunter, Trail, Tie-Down Roping, Dally Team Roping - Heading, Dally Team Roping- Heeling and Cutting), a youth or novice youth may show up to two horses, regardless of sex, except in youth or novice youth classes where stallions are prohibited, as per AQHA rules.
The Congress has received AQHA approval for novice youth classes divided into 13 & under and 14-18 age groups for novice youth classes that received more than 100 entries in 2006. AQHA-approved novice youth classes with age divisions for 2007 include Novice Youth Barrels, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Trail, Western Pleasure and Western Riding.

AQHA Open Roping Classes
Entry Fee $60 + office charge $60 – Purse $1,000 paid eight places divided $400, $350, $250, $150, $100, $100, $80, $70. (For Congress Tie-Down Classic, See Stakes/Special Event Premium information.)

AQHA Amateur Roping Classes
Entry Fee $60 + office charge $60 – Purse $1,000 paid eight places divided $400, $350, $250 $150, $100, $100, $80, $70.

AQHA Youth Roping Classes
Entry Fee $30 + office charge $10 - Purse $500 paid eight places divided $100, $90, $80, $70, $60, $45, $30, $25.
