Often
compared to a figure skater's performance, the freestyle reining competition
combines the athletics and finesse of reining moves with the sounds
of music in one of the Congress' most popular events. Competitors
(and their mounts) often wear costumes and may include props and actors
in their performances.
2008
Congress Freestyle Reining set for Saturday, Oct. 11
This year's Congress Freestyle Reining event will be held
on Saturday, October 11. The Freestyle Reining performance
will again include both the Open and Non-Pro Freestyle Reining classes
showing concurrently. The event will be held again in the Coliseum
with assigned seating provided on a first-received, first-assigned
basis. Tickets are nearly sold out, but the few remaining tickets will be sold beginning at 8:00 a.m. on October 11 at the Commercial Exhibitors window in Congress Hall.

The pre-purchase mail order system for Congress Freestyle
Reining tickets begins when the Congress entry brochure mails in late
July and runs through September 15 of each year. At that time, any
remaining tickets will be sold at the Congress on the day of the performance.
Tickets are $25 per seat.
