The Intuition Was Right for Only Intuition in the GMC 2-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Finals

Nancy Wilt had an intuition that she may have found a good one earlier this year when she visited a young stallion in training with Randy Wilson.

Joanne Hales had an intuition that a horse she saw for sale just might fit the bill for her friend, Nancy Wilt.

Randy Wilson had an intuition that he had a horse in his barn that could really go places as a Western Pleasure stallion.

The horse they were all looking at is Only Intuition, and is the 2007 Congress GMC Two-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion.

“Really, this was another big Congress Family event,” explained Nancy Wilt. “I have worked at every Congress, except for one when I broke my foot, and have grown to become great friends with Joanne Hales. Last winter, I mentioned to Joanne that I might be interested in buying a young stallion prospect this year.

“It wasn’t too long before she saw ‘Breezer’ at Randy Wilson’s barn and learned that his owner, Kathryn Frederick, had him for sale. She knew that Randy really didn’t want the horse to leave because he was so nice, and she knew that I would want to leave any horse I bought with a trainer, so she called me up,” Nancy said.

“I went to see him at Randy’s and just fell in love. He has the look that I like – a horse with some muscle and size, but not too tall,” Nancy said. “He also had such a good personality that I couldn’t pass him up. He’s a sweetheart.”

It is obvious that on top of having a good attitude and conformation, Only Intuition also has excelled in the talent department, placing first under two judges and second under two judges in the GMC Two-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion.

He did so well, in fact, that he helped Randy accomplish two personal goals during the 2007 Congress. “The money that Randy won with Breezer pushed him over the NSBA money limit, so he is now in the NSBA Hall of Fame,” Nancy boasted about her trainer. “This also was Randy’s first time to win in the two-year-old class at the Congress.”

Keep your eyes out for Only Intuition over the next few months and years! He will show at the 2007 Just For Pleasure Futurity in December. He will also stand at stud next year, and may show as well. No matter what he does, we know he and Nancy will succeed!
