Scholarships
The Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association offers annual scholarships to OAQHA members who are currently attending a technical or four-year college. Applications are due November 1st of each year and scholarships are awarded at the OQHA Awards Banquet in February.

Application Process
Candidates must fill out an application and submit it to the OAQHA Scholarship Committee Chair, along with letters of recommendation from a person with an equine background and an academic advisor, professor, career counselor, etc. To download the application, please click here.
Judging
All applicants are judged on the following:
30% Academic Achievements
25% Current OAQHA Participation
20% Past OAQHA Participation
5% Involvement with AQHA
5% Horse or Community Involvement
5% Parental, Guardian, Children or Family Involvement in OAQHA, OQHYA or OQHA
5% Educational and Career Goals
5% Personal Interview (Only if three or more applicants are scored within 5% of each other or at the discretion of the scholarship committee)
