Congress Cutting Event
The Congress Cutting Event is comprised of three events running back to back: the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting, the Congress Cutting Shoot-Out and Cinch Bridleless Cutting.
The 2012 Congress Cutting Event is scheduled for Friday, October 12th, beginning 5 pm with the Congress Cutting Shoot-Out, followed by Cinch Bridleless Cutting, and the finals of the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting, Non-Pro and Open divisions.
Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting
In the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting, $25,000 will be added to the Open Cutting and $25,000 will be added to the Non-Pro Cutting. All monies for these events will count toward the 2012 NCHA World Champion titles. There will be one go-round and a clean slate final. 25 percent of entries will advance to the finals. These events will be judged by three judges and payback will be as recommended for the World Series of Cutting events.

Congress Cutting Shoot-Out
The first place winners of the following classes are invited back to participate in the Congress Cutting Shoot-Out: 7700 NCHA $35,000 Non-Pro, 7710 NCHA $15,000 Limited Amateur, 7745 NCHA $1,000 Amateur and 7715 NCHA $2,000 Limited Rider. These four riders will compete to win a brand new FourStar trailer.

Cinch Bridleless Cutting
The top three high-scoring horses that do not make the finals of the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting in both the open and non-pro divisions will be eligible to compete in the Cinch Bridleless Cutting. A purse of $2,500 will be up for grabs in the open and non-pro. If a horse declines invitation, the next highest score will be invited to participate. There will be a $140 cattle charge, as well as a $30 office fee. The purse will pay 50%, 30% and 20%.
